NYC Comptroller prevailing wage schedules apply to public work under Labor Law Article 8, and Local Law 196 site safety training applies to any job requiring a Site Safety Plan. Both change the labor line before a stud goes up.

What is included in a construction estimate?
A typical estimate includes a quantity takeoff, labor and material costs, equipment and subcontractor pricing, a trade-by-trade summary, and a list of inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions. Reports are delivered in Excel and PDF format.
Does prevailing wage affect my project’s estimate?
It can. If your project is NYC public work, or certain private work receiving public funding, New York Labor Law Article 8 requires paying the NYC Comptroller’s prevailing wage schedule. We flag that exposure in the estimate so labor is priced correctly from the start.
Do you account for DOB filing type in your estimates?
Yes. Whether a project is filed as a New Building, Alteration Type 1, Alteration Type 2, or Alteration Type 3 affects trade scope, permitting sequence, and inspection requirements, all of which factor into the estimate.
Do you provide quantity takeoffs?
Yes. Quantity takeoffs are available as a standalone service or as part of a full cost estimate, organized by CSI division and pulled directly from your plans.
Do you estimate individual trades?
Yes. Subcontractors can request pricing for a single trade, such as electrical, drywall, or concrete, without ordering a full project estimate.
